BlackBerry 10 for PlayBook Releasing in the “Next Few Weeks”?
Before BlackBerry Live 2013, I genuinely believed we would see a BlackBerry 10 beta announced for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. It made sense for BlackBerry to kick off the beta at the largest event of the year.
Earlier, BlackBerry stated at the BlackBerry 10 launch event that PlayBook owners could be hopeful for a release of BB10 this year. However, as the BlackBerry Live 2013 event came and went without any mention, users started getting antsy.
Our own Ross Cheriton asked Thorsten Heins, Frank Boulben and Kristian Tear about BB10 on the PlayBook during a Q&A session. In a round about answer, we were told nothing. There was not a definite yes, nor a definite no.
Low and behold, the official Twitter account for BlackBerry Mexico may have dropped the ball. Replying to a user, the account states, “…in the next few weeks will be available OS10 update w/ the PlayBook! Please be alert!”
However, the tweet seems to have been pulled, but website Good eReader was able to capture the screenshot below:
Do you think this is any indication that the PlayBook will be getting a BlackBerry 10 upgrade within a few weeks? Or, could the official BlackBerry Mexico social media rep mistakenly thought it so, but unfortunately not the case? Hard to tell at this point, sound off in the comments with what you think this could mean.
BlackBerry PlayBook OS Updated to v2.1.0.1526
The BlackBerry PlayBook OS has received an updated to version 2.1.0.1526. This update includes updated for in-app payments ant text messaging over BlackBerry Bridge. I am hearing that this update is still rolling out to the PlayBook at this time. If you happen to notice anything different feel free to let us know in the comments.
BlackBerry PlayBook gets a small update to 2.1.0.1314
This morning the BlackBerry Playbook has received a small 37mb update. Mainly this update helps the developers using Adobe Flash and Air. Along side that, there are probably normal small fixes as well. Update and let us know if we have missed anything by commenting below!

Blaq Twitter Client for BlackBerry PlayBook Upgrades To v 1.8.5
Blaq Twitter Client for BlackBerry PlayBook by Kisai Labs has upgraded to v 1.8.5. Just waiting on word from the developer if there is a change log involved, but the update is minimal, so it may just be small bug fixes.
